I have visited this restaurant four times, and each time the food has been delicious, with prices that I find very reasonable (CAD 17.99 for the buffet as of January 2025). The butter chicken and curry chicken are my absolute favorites, but they offer other fantastic options as well. The staff is friendly and polite, which suggests that any issues mentioned in previous reviews have been resolved—unless, of course, some people expect the staff to be smiling nonstop. Personally, I don’t hold such expectations. While I’m not from India, I’ve come to appreciate Indian cuisine, and I believe it’s unfair for anyone to claim the food here is bad. Sure, there are always top-tier options for every type of cuisine, but considering this is a buffet at such a great price, the food is excellent. The flavors are rich, and the meat is tender—unlike other Indian restaurants I’ve tried where the butter chicken had more bone than meat. That’s definitely not the case here. Just a heads-up: the food is a bit spicy, especially for those who aren’t accustomed to it, but that’s a hallmark of this cuisine. I highly recommend giving this restaurant a chance. I’ll be heading back there this weekend!

Wow, what a great find! Perfectly situated in the Strasburg Plaza, we had no idea what we were in for! Upon entering, it's clear that this is a no-frills style restaurant, but we were greeted genuinely by Sam, the owner/operator. We were seated, offered drinks and that we could start at the buffet at our own leisure. There was something for everyone, with several vegetarian options. We enjoyed the butter chicken, which is fantastic, and were able to try a number of other dishes beyond the staples, such as dal, vegi and chicken pakora, and biryani (with potatoes!!!). A very nice selection of tasty deserts as well (rasmali!!!). The staff was constantly pulling food in and out of rotation, so everything we tried was fresh and hot. Sam was very friendly and attentive -- have no idea what anyone else is saying about the service or manager. You really can't beat this place for the price, and you get so much goodness. Meat dishes were loaded with meat and everything was flavourful. This is a wonderful place to fill up on good Indian food -- you'll be waddling out satisfied!

Attended a milestone birthday celebration event of a dear family friend at the restaurant on April 26 evening! Absolutely amazing and marvellous dining experience! All the starters were delicious, and the service was attentive and respectful! The cuisine is authentic Punjabi, and the taste proves it beyond a shadow of doubt! Come here for a truly authentic Punjabi gastronomy experience! The butter chicken was absolutely amazing!! Kadhi pakora was delightful, the naans were fluffy, crispy, and delicious, and the prices are so reasonable!

Good food for the price, decent buffet menu at very reasonable price. hot, crispy and fresh naan bread, tandoori chicken and goat curry are the best things to try at their buffet. This restaurant is run by a humble and very hospitable family.

My spouse and I have been coming to this restaurant for years. We were so excited the first time we walked in to see that the owner was the former owner of Modern India, which we loved when he owned it. This is our go-to place when we want Indian food. The food is always consistent, and very much enjoyed. For the price of the buffet you can't go wrong. I have tried almost everything they have to offer, and loved it all. The decor is simple and clean, but I'm not there for the decor. We are always greeted in such a friendly manner any time we visit. We enjoy it so much, that we even had Christmas day dinner here last year. See you again soon...
